LOST&FOUND : MONTAIGNE MARKET

Nothing better in order to inaugurate this new category Lost & Found than with a few words and memories about a place where the French expression « luxury, calm and sensual delight » is at its best. Well well, hmmm.. « calm » isn’t quite the right adjective thought because when the most renowned luxury concept store closes its door to la crème de la crème, it attempts sometimes to open again when the night is dark and the champagne popping for top exquisite parties. Flashback.

KISS ME YOU NAUGHTY BURBERRY

And here we go again for more digital marketing strategies! Burberry has always been one of the top brands to establish itself on the web and to offer its clients and aficionados stunning digital experiences. The british brand strikes again this summer with « Burberry Kisses » its last campaign where its clients can send virtual kisses from anywhere to… anywhere. God bless the Internet. In fact, a cool system of labial recognition (via iPhone or webcam) allows the transmitter of the kiss to print its lips and add a few words to the addressee. How sweet? The only thing I don’t understand is where is my Rosie Huntington Whiteley and those astonishing lips of hers? She would have been everything in this video. Everything. 

C’est reparti et de plus belle pour nos marques de luxe préférées et leurs stratégies de marketing digital. Burberry a toujours été une des pionnières sur la Toile et revient en force cet été avec un nouveau projet, « Burberry Kisses ». Le principe? Grace à un système de reconnaissance labiale (via iPhone ou webcam sous Google Chrome), vous pouvez désormais envoyer un baiser Burberry à l’être aimé, même au bout du monde. Dieu bénisse internet. La seule chose qui m’échappe… mais où est Rosie Huntington Whiteley? Ses lèvres dessinées et signées Burberry? J’en rêve.

MY BLOG, OUR ADVENTURE PART 2

My dear readers, let me introduce you the new version of ELIOTTANDTHEBEATI. Every category has now its own full width picture to introduce you what we are talking about here and there. I tried to adapt the new layout to both old and new contents so that you can have a preview, with usually two pictures and the relative text. You’ll find the rest of the post by clicking on ‘Read More’ for the curious ones. The one year anniversary of the blog was not so long ago, it has been such a pleasure to meet some of you and to hear feedbacks. Blogging is such a wonderful adventure. Like I said in my very first post, « my blog, our adventure » so I hope you will enjoy this new version. It’s yours.

PARISIAN PANDA

Every year it’s the same story. As soon as the sun shines in Paris and when l finally feel that summer is showing itself properly ; I automatically grab a tea smoothie at Tea by Thé, chill around Palais Royal district, and just enjoy the scene that offers itself to me. Last week-end the weather was amazing here so I followed my tradition and went for a walk around « Les deux Plateaux » (more known as the Colonnes de Buren) just to fit in with this total black & white outfit and just enjoyed being happy.

Tous les ans c’est la même histoire, il suffit que le soleil pointe (enfin) le bout de son (timide) museau pour que je file chez Tea by Thé déguster un smoothie en terrasse et penser à toutes les aventures que me réserve l’été approchant. Bien sûr trouver une place en terrasse dans ce genre de situation étant plus difficile que de trouver un Birkin chez Emmaüs,  je suis parti me balader vers les Colonnes de Buren pour ainsi me fondre dans ce sublime paysage architectural qu’offre les Deux Plateaux.

YOUR BANKER IS GOING TO HATE ME #2

For her, for him. Same outfit, same look, same brands ; here’s my 2nd « your-banker-is-going-to-hate-me » shopping selection. Ladies and gentlemen, enjoy.

Pour elle, pour lui. Même tenue, même look, même marques ; voici ma seconde sélection shopping « votre-banquier-va-me-détester ». Enjoy.

For this second shopping selection I wanted a look which for me would perfectly represent this effortless touch defying Saint-Germain-des-Près district of Paris. It’s a sunny day, feeling good, summer on its way… so we jump in our pseudo vintage jeans and our new balance., add a cool bracelet with names of Paris’ streets and… voilà!

Pour cette seconde sélection je voulais une touche rive gauche. C’est dimanche, il fait beau, l’été arrive, tout va bien, on enfile son pseudo jean vintage, ses new balance, son nouveau bracelet Isy et le tour est joué.

SEA, SEX & COS

Imagine… May,  you’re chilling near Lake Como, it’s 27° outside, a giant bresaola & mozzarella salad stands in front of you, love is everywhere in this perfect picture and so is good style thanks to COS. God damn it guys, I’ve been waiting for a fashion crush for months and here it is! Coming straight from Sweden, the new COS collection (standing for Collection Of Style by the way) is pure beauty. I’ll let you check some of my favorite looks from the SS14 lookbook below, the rest will wait for you on the website. Ladies, for this post I also include you because like we say in French after all: the more we are, the funnier it will get. Wait. I forgot something here. Who wants everything I just mentioned without a good Borsalino x Acne Studios hat?! Now we’re talking. Voilà.

Imaginez… On est en mai, vous flâner près du Lac de Côme, il fait 27°, une salade géante de bresaola & mozzarella s’offre à vous. L’amour est partout dans ce cadre idyllique, et heureusement, le bon goût aussi grâce à l’entière collection de COS sur vos petits corps dorés. J’ai attendu d’avoir un coup de coeur depuis des mois et le voici, enfin, venant tout droit de Suède. La nouvelle collection de COS (pour « Collection Of Style ») est une pure merveille. Je vous laisse découvrir quelques pièces du nouveau lookbook, le reste vous attend sur le site. Mesdemoiselles, j’ai pensé à vous aussi pour le coup. Après tout, plus on est de fous, plus on rit. Attendez, j’ai oublié quelque chose ici. Qui voudrait tout ce que je viens de citer sans un magnifique Borsalino en partenariat avec Acne?! Voilà.

PLANET AW13

No jokes dear readers, the situation is critical here. Men’s collections of this last fall/winter 2013 fashion week left me cold. No shows in Paris for me this season, I prefered the lights of Milan, Italy, when I wasn’t escaping aftershows because of my finals. Anyway, let’s talk important stuff here. What the hell happened this season? Cuttings way too traditional, colors seen a thousand time (this is the moment you hear me saying with a (sexy) French accent «So déja vu»). And I don’t like déja vu. I expected so many new futuristic looks with a very Mediterranean touch. You know, kind of like «when downtown aliens meet the French Riviera» you see? Sure you do. I know you do. Please do. Will follow the survivors of the AW13 planet anyway.

Pas de plaisanteries chers lecteurs, l’heure est grave. Les collections hommes de cette dernière saison automne hiver 2013 m’ont laissé de marbre. Pas de défilés pour moi cette saison, j’ai préféré troqué la ville des lumières pour une nouvelle escapade Milanaise. Et quand j’étais à Paris, les aftershows ont eu raison de moi suite à quelques examens. Bref, là n’est pas la question. Coupes traditionnelles, couleurs vues et revues, originalité zéro, la sélection de mes looks préférés cette saison s’est faite sans grande difficulté. Je m’attendais pourtant à tant de nouveautés. Je voyais un peu cette saison avec des podiums remplis de looks futuristes avec une touche de désinvolture méditerranéenne. Un peu «alien rive gauche en week end prolongé à Monaco». Vous voyez? Mais si vous voyez. Je sais que vous voyez. Suivront tout de même les quelques survivants de la planête AW13.

MADE IN BRAZIL

It’s freezing in Paris. Finals week is coming. Parties this WE. NYE to plan. Ughhh. Don’t panic though, the divine Alessandra and her toyboys are here to warm us up. Caloooor.
